Mini-beast Hunt (Year2 work, 2007-08)

Within our topic focus of 'Homes and Habitats', we have been focusing on Mini-beasts and their homes.

We went for a walk around the school wildlife area, lifting rocks and wood and moving piles of leaves. We were looking for mini-beasts in their natural environment, but we didin't find very many.

The children said this was because,

"It was too cold!"

"The ground was frozen."

"They were still hibernating."

They were asleep."
