Dan and Lewis (Foundation work, 2002-03)

This work allowed Year 1 children to work on an environmental topic, raising their awareness of their surrounding environment.

As well as increasing childrens\' awareness of their immediate environment the work also focussed on the needs of creatures living within the environment. The children carried out their own exploration of materials, and conducted the designing, making and evaluating of functional sculptures and mini-environments to attract wildlife.

These areas are used as part of ongoing topics to learn about environments, mini-beasts and birds.
