Our Community Calendars (Year1 work, 2004-05)

As part of a huge Yr1 programme of work, both classes went out and about into their local community to photograph. They concentrated on looking at the detail of the place – peoples front doors, the windows, flowers etc. Back in the classroom the children chose a favourite photo in pairs, they then used the computers to put the photo into a calendar page format. The calendars were chosen as a tool to collate the photographs.
